TNC Regulatory Requirements- Public Notification
TNCs must notify the public any time the system violates State or Federal drinking water regulations or has other situations that pose a risk to public health.
Examples of situations that require public notice include:
- Failure to monitor water quality,
- Not submitting monitoring results to WSD in a timely manner, or
- Exceeding a maximum contaminant level (MCL). If a water quality sample exceeds a MCL, public notice must be posted in a conspicuous location for all customers to read within 24 hours of learning about the test result.
