ActLog Activity Log File This file captures changes to a selection of other files. As records are altered, the deltas are captured and place into this file to form a continuous record of what has happened to the file's records.
ActLogM Memo File This file is linked to the ActLog file and serves as the storage area for memo fields (since ActLog is not configured to store memos). There is a link from this file back into ActLog and it serves the same function of providing storage for memos as the user changes them (thus capturing the deltas over time)
